Do you want to know how many days you can still stay in the Schengen Area or Brazil without exceeding the allowed limit? Our day calculator provides you with a clear and quick answer.
How to use the stay duration calculator?
It's very simple:
- Select the area that applies to you: Schengen or Brazil
- Indicate your check-in and check-out dates for each stay made
- Indicate the desired next entry date
-
The calculator automatically shows you:
- 🧮 The number of days used
- ⏳ The number of days remaining
- 📆 The next possible entry date if you have reached the limit
You can add as many stays as necessary. The tool takes care of everything, adhering to the rule of 90 days within 180 days (rolling in the case of the Schengen area).
Calculation of Schengen stay days: the 90/180 rule
The rule is strict:
90 days maximum stay within any rolling 180-day period
(valid for nationals of countries such as Brazil, the United States, Canada, etc.)
What makes the rule complex is its sliding nature: each day of presence in Europe is counted by looking back over the previous 180 days.
In other words, the right of residence is gradually renewed over time.
Let's take an example:
A person who has already stayed 75 days in the 180 days preceding June 30, 2025, can only stay for 15 days from that date.
But as the days of July progress, the oldest stays (like the one from January 2) fall out of the 180-day period.
She "recovers" one day each day: this allows her to stay until July 26, 2025, without ever exceeding the 90 allowed days.
Our Schengen calculator saves you from this headache. It tells you exactly how long you can legally stay.
Calculation of Days of Stay in Brazil: A Rule Often Unknown
Brazil also applies the 90 days in 180 days rule, but without the rolling effect.
If you exceed your stay limit in Brazil:
- You receive a fine of 100 R$ for each day of excess
- You risk a ban on entry for several months
